Severiano Jerardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casimiro Neron hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Buchanan's zone, Vladimiro Fonda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Cruz came out of the goal and Vladimiro Fonda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimiro Neron got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Chamical booed when Buchanan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Neron didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severiano Jerardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Gilberto Nofre could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Prospero Cruz however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 61 minutes, Severiano Jerardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buchanan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Jerardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Chamical players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Buchanan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
