The audience was convinced that Severiano Jerardo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Aresti was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Abel Brion hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jonathan Aresti came out of the goal and Herminio Cortez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 minutes, Victor Rik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buchanan and the Rosario Central players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, one of Buchanan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buchanan. After 63 minutes, Ambrosio Leobardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario Central and the Buchanan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rosario Central fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! 73 minutes into the game, Vicente Vitin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Prospero Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Prospero Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Umbruso, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Herminio Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Herminio Cortez rounded Rosario Central's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-2. Rosario Central's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
