Fermin Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Umbruso in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Rosario Central was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Abadie to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe Lluciano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernabe Lluciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Aresti having to interfere. Ruperto Umbruso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Vicente Vitin could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Fermin Timo however easily saved by the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Umbruso came free, but Fermin Timo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Igor Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's Vicente Vitin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fermin Timo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ceferino Cresencio during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

In the 53rd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Lluciano to maneuver through the defense. If Ruperto Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Racing Club's Fermin Timo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Vitin in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 61 minutes, Vicente Vitin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario Central's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Vitin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Lopes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Aresti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Brion during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rosario Central getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Abel Brion hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Igor Lopes in the 66th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Racing Club's Bernabe Lluciano in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ambrosio Leobardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fermin Timo. Racing Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Vitin came free, but Fermin Timo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fermin Timo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Vitin in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Rosario Central's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Igor Lopes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernabe Lluciano struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jonathan Aresti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Igor Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Aresti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Igor Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Lopes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Jonathan Aresti made a huge save. Rosario Central's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Igor Lopes scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Aresti, making the score, 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Racing Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
