After 5 minutes, Generoso Aresti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaparro and the Malligasta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Chaparro got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Aresti. Blas Rocendo might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Shepherd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Rocendo ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquin Veto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adan Goito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Astor Nikola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Chaparro booed when Malligasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Manilan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Chaparro's Celedonio Grabiel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chaparro's Ciriaco Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Sol in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Primitivo Sol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Shepherd. Chaparro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primitivo Sol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Epifanio Argenis during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chaparro's Epifanio Argenis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Primitivo Sol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malligasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Sol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Joaquin Veto fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malligasta's protests and gave Joaquin Veto a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Epifanio Argenis could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Astor Nikola however easily saved by the left post. When Primitivo Sol came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Malligasta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Sol couldn't finish the play. Ciriaco Shepherd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquin Veto's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Ciriaco Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Sol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primitivo Sol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chaparro's goalkeeper Ciriaco Shepherd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adolfo Rik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Astor Nikola made a huge save. After the first half Malligasta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Epifanio Argenis scored 1-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Astor Nikola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Astor Nikola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Epifanio Argenis went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. During the 67th minute of the match Generoso Aresti completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Generoso Aresti a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Epifanio Argenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Sol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ciriaco Shepherd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malligasta's zone, Epifanio Argenis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Nikola came out of the goal and Epifanio Argenis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chaparro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Malligasta for a fine match.
