Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 0) Canning FC's Filomeno Elorri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mataderos F.C.'s Rolando Urtzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Mataderos F.C. from getting a goal against them. Rolando Urtzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Elorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Maurino might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Urtzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Maurino ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Iyan might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Playo. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Marcos Maurino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Playo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Eztebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Gilberto Iyan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Marcos Maurino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canning FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Maurino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Urtzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardino Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Playo having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Canning FC's Marcos Maurino made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Urtzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Roque Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augusto Playo came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Mataderos F.C.'s Gilberto Iyan. But to his dismay, Gilberto Iyan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Bernardino Eztebe came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mataderos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardino Eztebe couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Iyan made a kick off. Filomeno Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Urtzi having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Mataderos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Igon. Filomeno Elorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rolando Urtzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filomeno Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Urtzi having to interfere. If Marcos Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Elorri struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Rolando Urtzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canning FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Iyan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Augusto Playo. That made the score 1-2 in the 75 minute of play. After 81 minutes, Gaspar Petrigai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mataderos F.C. and the Canning FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Mataderos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Petrigai to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Igon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute Filomeno Elorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Urtzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Maurino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
