The audience was convinced that Cipriano Goren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Shepherd was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The Cancún FC fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Cancún FC's Cipriano Goren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cipriano Goren took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Shepherd. Ciriaco Shepherd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After having played for 80 minutes, Cipriano Goren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cancún FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Goren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciriaco Shepherd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Goren's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Ulises Fernendo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Cipriano Goren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
