To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Mataderos F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Damian Oihan came free, but Rolando Urtzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Oihan might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Urtzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Oihan ran back to his position shaking his head. Damian Oihan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 49th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardino Eztebe to make the kick off. When Saul Silvino fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pozuelos's protests and gave Saul Silvino a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Pozuelos got a freekick which was hit by Saul Silvino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardino Eztebe got free with Bernardino Ioritz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Urtzi had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Lucio Donostia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Lucio Donostia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mataderos F.C.'s Rolando Urtzi. Rolando Urtzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bernardino Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Ioritz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Aldo Igon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mataderos F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Igon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Ioritz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 played minutes Pozuelos got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Michael. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Bernardino Eztebe got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Bernardino Ioritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute. Mataderos F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
