Epifanio Primeiro's late challenge caught a Chaparro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Epifanio Primeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Epifanio Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Denis Damario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute of the match, Epifanio Argenis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliseo Pacifico was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 17 minutes, Denis Damario made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chaparro's Ciriaco Shepherd tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Denis Damario took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciriaco Shepherd. Ciriaco Shepherd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Cefero in the 23rd minute of play forced Chaparro's goalkeeper Ciriaco Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chaparro's zone, Denis Damario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciriaco Shepherd came out of the goal and Denis Damario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Chaparro getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Adolfo Rik hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Denis Damario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Denis Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berreta's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Shepherd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute Denis Damario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Shepherd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Cefero in the 38th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Denis Damario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciriaco Shepherd was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Berreta's Leandro Raebert got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Shepherd having to interfere. Flavio Cefero struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ciriaco Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berreta. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Denis Damario made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Denis Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berreta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Damario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Raebert might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Shepherd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leandro Raebert ran back to his position shaking his head. Denis Damario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ciriaco Shepherd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Flavio Cefero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ciriaco Shepherd. The goal made the score 0-4. Ciriaco Shepherd acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Epifanio Primeiro.
