In the 36thth minute of the game Abelardo Osorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canning FC's Augusto Playo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Mannuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Playo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cipriano Goren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cancún FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Goren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Playo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute Cipriano Goren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canning FC's Augusto Playo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Mannuel in the 47th minute of play. The Canning FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cancún FC were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Cipriano Goren made the kick off in the second half. Canning FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Victor Mannuel 52 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Cancún FC's Cipriano Goren got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Roque Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canning FC's protests and gave Roque Pinto a yellow card for diving instead. Roque Pinto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Abelardo Osorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Augusto Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Goren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Playo was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. If Cipriano Goren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Humberto Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cancún FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Teofilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cipriano Goren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After 74 played minutes Canning FC got a freekick which was hit by Roque Pinto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Goren in the 77th minute of play forced Canning FC's goalkeeper Augusto Playo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Abelardo Osorio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Augusto Playo. That made the score 0-7 in the 79 minute of play. Augusto Playo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cipriano Goren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 84 minute of play. Humberto Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Playo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Urtzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Playo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Goren's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
