In the 39th minute, Mauro Pirmin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Martinez came free, but Enrique Llanos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Martinez to strike the kick off in the second half. Remigio Gudesteo came out of the goal and Maicon das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Claudio Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boca Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Gorbea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Boca Juniors's Maicon das Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Joaquin Nazario came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Nazario couldn't finish the play. Though ot was a great shot Batata AFC's keeper Remigio Gudesteo was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Batata AFC's Remigio Gudesteo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Batata AFC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Batata AFC's Remigio Gudesteo got control of the ball when Maicon das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boca Juniors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
