Gregorio Duardo kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 8 minutes C.A Picadillis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baldomiro Basualdo who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Elite FC's corner Baldomiro Basualdo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Saverio Otsando quite easily take care of the ball. Zeledon Teodor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florencio Maura showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Saverio Otsando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Jatsu in the 16th minute of play. Florencio Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Teodor made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Florencio Maura sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th match minute, Elite FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Basualdo to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Fermin Iturri from long distance, 29 minutes into the match, got Zeledon Teodor's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Elite FC's Zeledon Teodor got control of the ball when Florencio Maura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bartolo Ignado hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Fermin Iturri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeledon Teodor. Elite FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A Picadillis's goalkeeper Saverio Otsando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Elite FC booed when C.A Picadillis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisito Ofelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Loreto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, C.A Picadillis's Luisito Ofelio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Teodor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luis Lehen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Otsando having to interfere. When Gavino Neron fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Picadillis's protests and gave Gavino Neron a yellow card for diving instead. Gavino Neron hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A Picadillis's goalkeeper Saverio Otsando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to C.A Picadillis getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gregorio Duardo hit a great ball. When Cesar Jatsu came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Elite FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Jatsu couldn't finish the play. Saverio Otsando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Loreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Hilario Aritza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Teodor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 76 played minutes Elite FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Lehen. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Hilario Aritza managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A Picadillis's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Aritza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Teodor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C.A Picadillis!
