The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Fenix Dark's zone, Lucas Azubeli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celedonio Weather came out of the goal and Lucas Azubeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 11 played minutes Maximiliano Pietro rounded Fenix Dark's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Ciriaco Toribio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Santos in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Triunvirato's goalkeeper Ciriaco Toribio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delmar Etxahun might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciriaco Toribio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delmar Etxahun ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute of the match Jonathan Elazar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciriaco Toribio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Lucas Azubeli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Triunvirato's Maximiliano Pietro got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the match Amancio Gabirel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celedonio Weather showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Azubeli got free with Celedonio Weather in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amancio Gabirel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celedonio Weather. Fenix Dark's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Delmar Etxahun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Toribio having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Justino Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Pietro notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Fenix Dark's Celedonio Weather. Celedonio Weather was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justino Santos was the one to do the kick off. Maximiliano Pietro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Celedonio Weather tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
