Onashaga F.C's Arnulfo Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciriaco Toribio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Matai, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Rios in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciriaco Toribio saved Triunvirato from getting behind. In the 36th minute, Adolfo Matai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Toribio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Donato Quirze charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Quirze the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, one of Triunvirato:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Triunvirato. In the 47thth minute of the game Adolfo Matai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Triunvirato's Ciriaco Toribio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximiliano Pietro to make the kick off.
