Emilio Theobald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erubiel Curcio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Honorio Oliveiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Linyeras de Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Oliveiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Theobald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Honorio Oliveiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Julian Balasi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Patagones fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Oliveiro in the 17th minute of play forced Deportivo Patagones's goalkeeper Emilio Theobald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Eduino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Balasi's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Clodoveo Eduino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Balasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Julian Balasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Eduino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Balasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Clodoveo Eduino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Honorio Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Theobald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Gaizko in the 34th minute of the match. Honorio Oliveiro scored 2-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Theobald, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gualterio Gaizko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Theobald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Gualterio Gaizko struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Emilio Theobald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Linyeras de Merlo. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jimeno Cristofol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Linyeras de Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimeno Cristofol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Theobald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Balasi to strike the kick off in the second half. Emilio Theobald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Oliveiro in the 54th minute of the match. Gualterio Gaizko struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Emilio Theobald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Linyeras de Merlo. Augusto Pirro hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Emilio Theobald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Oliveiro in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Julian Balasi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clodoveo Eduino was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 75th match minute, Los Linyeras de Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Cristofol to maneuver through the defense. After 82 played minutes Deportivo Patagones got a freekick which was hit by Laureano Ubarna. 84 minutes into the match, Deportivo Patagones's goalkeeper Emilio Theobald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualterio Gaizko. After having played for 88 minutes, Gualterio Gaizko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Linyeras de Merlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Gaizko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Claudio Lohitzun came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Deportivo Patagones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Lohitzun couldn't finish the play. In the 91st match minute, Los Linyeras de Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Cristofol to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Julian Balasi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Deportivo Patagones's goalkeeper Emilio Theobald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erubiel Curcio.
