Spectators: 7227 (Terracing: 5422, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 143) Everardo Maties started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 5 minutes, Flavio Gotzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bernasconi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Gotzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eusebio Gaufred made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Maties in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Ambrosio Kinsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grüttly AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alfonso Orlin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bernasconi FC's zone, Everardo Maties stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Gaufred came out of the goal and Everardo Maties tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grüttly AFC's Alfonso Orlin got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Everardo Maties got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Flavio Gotzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 minutes of play Bernasconi FC's Ambrosio Kinsen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Maties in the 43rd minute of play forced Bernasconi FC's goalkeeper Eusebio Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Flavio Gotzon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 65 minutes into the match, Grüttly AFC's Everardo Maties sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusebio Gaufred narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Everardo Maties took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Eusebio Gaufred to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th minute, Flavio Gotzon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Flavio Gotzon made a precise shot to the right of Venancio Ayala. Grüttly AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Flavio Gotzon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venancio Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Manni in the 89th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
