The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Ovando in the 40th minute of play forced Aguay FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Txatxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Calisto might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Txatxu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Calisto ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 45 in the game by Emanuel Amaya from a close distance when the talented Amadeo Ihintza managed to make a qualified save. Islas's players were relieved. The Aguay FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Islas were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaac Ovando was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aldo Rozarius in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeo Ihintza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldo Rozarius during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes Aguay FC got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Rozarius. When Damaso Otsoko fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Islas's protests and gave Damaso Otsoko a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Islas's Damaso Otsoko got a free kick in the 90th minute. Aguay FC's Gabriel Txatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Aguay FC from getting a goal against them. Rodrigo Calisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Txatxu having to interfere. When the match was over Islas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aguay FC throughout the match.
