The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Amaya got free with Natalio Vedillo in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Vedillo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Pello in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natalio Vedillo saved .C.A.Independiente. from getting behind. When Juan Pello came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Aguay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Pello couldn't finish the play. If Juan Pello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Artizar to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, .C.A.Independiente.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juan Pello came free, but Natalio Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
