Spectators: 7177 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 100) Independiente's Eusebio Palos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fernan Jaunti didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 3rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Leonides Bladi came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Nicasio Ugaitz. But to his dismay, Nicasio Ugaitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 23rdth minute of the game Eusebio Palos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jose Artigas C. F.'s Leonides Bladi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 1-3 became the score in the 24th minute when Eusebio Palos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Independiente's Fernan Jaunti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Gonsalvo in the 27th minute of play. Fernan Jaunti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bonifacio Gonsalvo's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Leonides Bladi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Palos's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. If Eusebio Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Eusebio Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Bonifacio Gonsalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernan Jaunti made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Anacleto Millano sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bonifacio Gonsalvo to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Seguinus. Nicasio Ugaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Independiente's Fernan Jaunti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Millano in the 64th minute of play. Fernan Jaunti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Millano, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Nicasio Ugaitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Bladi. Jose Artigas C. F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicasio Ugaitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. With his leg Leonides Bladi managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Independiente's Eusebio Palos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Baldomero Manilan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Jose Artigas C. F.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Eusebio Palos scored to the left of an out of position Leonides Bladi, making the score, 1-5. If Eusebio Palos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
