The audience thought a goal was coming when Higinio Segio got free with Fernan Jaunti in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Independiente fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! In the 24th minute, Ambrosio Orlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Raymon charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Raymon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dario Karlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernan Jaunti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 31 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Seguinus. 38 minutes into the match, Drysdale AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Bastia came free, but Isidro Regis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente's Nicasio Ugaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Bastia in the 47th minute of play forced Drysdale AFC's goalkeeper Isidro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The referee ignored Drysdale AFC's protests and gave Israel Faro a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes Drysdale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Israel Faro. In the 55th minute of the match, Nicasio Ugaitz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isidro Regis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 58th minute, Baldomero Manilan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Manilan to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Higinio Segio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Independiente's Fernan Jaunti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Karlo in the 65th minute of play. After 67th play minutes Eusebio Palos shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Isidro Regis and just under the crossbar into goal. Hermengildo Bastia charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermengildo Bastia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Hermengildo Bastia got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dario Karlo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernan Jaunti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusebio Palos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Isidro Regis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Nicasio Ugaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Higinio Segio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Jaunti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
