With a little luck, Independiente's Fernan Jaunti got control of the ball when Jose Poncio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albano Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Eusebio Palos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Sandalio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Eusebio Palos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Sandalio having to interfere. Leandro Quirze kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Nicasio Ugaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Independiente's Eusebio Palos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaudencio Sandalio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Independiente's Fernan Jaunti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Florentino Seguinus got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute, Florentino Seguinus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Poncio struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Fernan Jaunti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Electrodo Fútbol Club. Fernan Jaunti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Abancens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play. If Nicasio Ugaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Palos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernan Jaunti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Abancens, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Jose Poncio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Florentino Seguinus hit a great ball. Electrodo Fútbol Club were furious when Adan Pacho was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 60th match minute, Electrodo Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adan Pacho to maneuver through the defense. Jose Poncio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Jaunti having to interfere. After 79 played minutes, Independiente's Hermengildo Bastia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaudencio Sandalio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Independiente reached it. Gaudencio Sandalio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicasio Ugaitz in the 86th minute. Gaudencio Sandalio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Palos went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
