The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Albino Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Peter having to interfere. Albino Hug might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ildefonso Peter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albino Hug ran back to his position shaking his head. Ildefonso Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ildefonso Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Peter came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Teotihuacanos's Angelo Barbosa. But to his dismay, Angelo Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 33 minutes into the game, El Eternauta 's Mario Sansone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anacleto Orlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, El Eternauta 's goal looked a bit too open when Albino Hug came free, but Ildefonso Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Barbosa scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ildefonso Peter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teotihuacanos's Ramon Tadzio suffered a sprained foot after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Gilberto Incendio charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Incendio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilberto Incendio hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Albino Hug had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Teotihuacanos's goalkeeper Anacleto Orlan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Incendio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Barbosa got free with Ildefonso Peter in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Freddy Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teotihuacanos's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Santo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ildefonso Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Incendio kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, one of El Eternauta :s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Delmar Ikatz placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Eternauta ! In the 79th minute Albino Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albino Hug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ildefonso Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Albino Hug's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ildefonso Peter was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Anacleto Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Sansone, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The El Eternauta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Teotihuacanos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
