In the 13thth minute of the game Joaquin Micael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palomar's Ambrosio Donostia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ambrosio Donostia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Micael in the 15th minute of play. If Tiburcio Tolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. Tiburcio Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiburcio Tolino got free with Basilio Gabirel in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Anacleto Arixo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the game, Gerardo Telesforo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ambrosio Donostia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Modesto Pereyra was the one to do the kick off. Basilio Gabirel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Tolino, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute.
