Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fernando Pudes got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Godofredo Horado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Genaro Regis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 6 minutes of play, 5 de Octubre de 2008's Gaudencio Matteo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genaro Regis was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 9 minutes, Danilo Karmel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Team Gelmetti and the 5 de Octubre de 2008 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Team Gelmetti's Danilo Karmel got a free kick in the 9th minute. Jonas Santo made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Evelio Millan sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Team Gelmetti's Evelio Millan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonas Santo. That made the score 1-2 after 12 minutes of play. In the 16th minute Fernando Pudes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Santo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Matteo in the 21st minute of play forced Team Gelmetti's goalkeeper Genaro Regis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, 5 de Octubre de 2008's goalkeeper Jonas Santo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evelio Millan. 5 de Octubre de 2008's Jonas Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Joseph in the 26th minute of play. Genaro Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Horado, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Angelo Joseph hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godofredo Horado in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genaro Regis saved Team Gelmetti from getting behind. Genaro Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Genaro Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mederi in the 36th minute of play. Angelo Joseph struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jonas Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Gelmetti. After a defensive mix-up in Team Gelmetti's zone, Godofredo Horado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Regis came out of the goal and Godofredo Horado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Regis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lázaro Reno in the 43rd minute of the match. Genaro Regis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Horado in the 47th minute of play. The Team Gelmetti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 5 de Octubre de 2008 were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaudencio Matteo to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Godofredo Horado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Genaro Regis. That made the score 1-5 in the 56 minute of play. Ignacio Mederi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Genaro Regis made a huge save. 62 minutes into the game, 5 de Octubre de 2008's Lázaro Reno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Genaro Regis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Genaro Regis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Rodolfo Laurgain put in a rough tackle. In the 76th minute, one of Team Gelmetti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Team Gelmetti. In the 84th minute, Evelio Millan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Millan in the 84th minute of play. Genaro Regis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Gaspar Tavio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Team Gelmetti's goalkeeper Genaro Regis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Horado. The crowd rose to their feet as Gaudencio Matteo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Genaro Regis. That made the score 1-8 in the 98 minute of play. When the match was over 5 de Octubre de 2008 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Team Gelmetti throughout the match.
