Hector Conrao's late challenge caught a Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Conrao helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, GaboN F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Conrao to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute Baldomiro Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Pere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Gaitan in the 10th minute of play forced GaboN F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Pere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Pueblo in the 13th minute of play. Maximiliano Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Pueblo in the 18th minute of the match. GaboN F.C.'s Maximiliano Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Pueblo in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Prudencio Pueblo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Maximiliano Pere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the game, Erasmo Montez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GaboN F.C. the free kick. After 30 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Montez. Wilfredo Orzaize recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reynaldo Elequemedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Ubelteso, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, GaboN F.C.'s Alejo Ubelteso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reynaldo Elequemedo. Reynaldo Elequemedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Maximiliano Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Pueblo in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Independiente's Baldomiro Naelio made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Pere was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximiliano Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Pueblo in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Maximiliano Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Naelio in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of GaboN F.C. booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Elequemedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Conrao's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Maximiliano Pere was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baldomiro Naelio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 60 minute of play. When Hector Conrao was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 63 minutes had been played. After 65th play minutes Prudencio Pueblo shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Maximiliano Pere and just under the crossbar into goal. Wilfredo Orzaize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Reynaldo Elequemedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfredo Orzaize recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prudencio Pueblo got free with Maximiliano Pere in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomiro Naelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Maximiliano Pere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Naelio in the 78th minute of play. If Wilfredo Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Independiente could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GaboN F.C. throughout the match.
