Basilio Aureo came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Uriel Cutberto could save by the left post. If Abelardo Burni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Cutberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basilio Aureo in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Unión's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Beturian came free, but Nereo Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mixto's Generoso Isidor got a free kick in the 47th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Unión's Fermin Oton tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saturnino Jatsu was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Saturnino Jatsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Saturnino Jatsu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unión's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mixto the free kick. Uriel Cutberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Aureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 88 minutes, Erasmo Matteo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unión and the Mixto players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mixto booed when Unión was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Matteo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saturnino Jatsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Cutberto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Aureo in the 94th minute of play forced Mixto's goalkeeper Uriel Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basilio Aureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Unión fully deserved thier win.
