The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Salsipuede was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. With 11 minutes on the clock, Fabian Ledesma commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When Fortin FC's Leandro Hug in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salsipuede's goalie prevented a goal. Evaristo Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vicente Arotza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Evaristo Beat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Evaristo Beat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Arotza. Fortin FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Beat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Eloy Guillelmus came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Salsipuede fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Guillelmus couldn't finish the play. Leandro Hug struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Angel Arixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortin FC. Fortin FC's Vicente Arotza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Beat in the 39th minute of play. Evaristo Beat took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Arotza. Vicente Arotza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Salsipuede were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Arsenio Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Arixo having to interfere. Fortin FC's Arsenio Liher got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angel Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Salsipuede's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Hug came free, but Angel Arixo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Leandro Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Arixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Hug in the 71st minute of the match. Angel Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Liher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Fortin FC's zone, Evaristo Beat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Arotza came out of the goal and Evaristo Beat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vicente Arotza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Salsipuede walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
