After having played for 10 minutes, Eduardo Herauso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montiel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Herauso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Montiel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Deportivo Rivadavia's Eduardo Pietro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Denis Tabor. In the 17th minute Felipe Uhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Teodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Montiel's Eduardo Herauso in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Rivadavia's goalie prevented a goal. Montiel's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Astor Pudes in the 26th minute. Eduardo Herauso might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Teodor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Herauso ran back to his position shaking his head. Montiel's Denis Tabor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Montiel from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Eusko in the 30th minute of play forced Montiel's goalkeeper Denis Tabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantino Fagondo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Denis Tabor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Victoriano Teodor came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Montiel's Eduardo Herauso. But to his dismay, Eduardo Herauso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Severino Eusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Rivadavia's zone, Eduardo Herauso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Teodor came out of the goal and Eduardo Herauso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Herauso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Deportivo Rivadavia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montiel were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Eusko was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliano Blai in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Teodor saved Deportivo Rivadavia from getting behind. In the 54th match minute, Montiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Blai to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Montiel's Moises Johans got a free kick in the 59th minute. Constantino Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Tabor having to interfere. Montiel's Eduardo Herauso got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantino Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Denis Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantino Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Eduardo Herauso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montiel's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Herauso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Teodor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantino Fagondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Tabor having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montiel's Benicio Leguizamón got a free kick in the 95th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Eusko in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Tabor saved Montiel from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montiel had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
