Spectators: 7180 (Terracing: 5387, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anibal Gutxi started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Honorato Chinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salta La Banca FC and the Almagro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Honorato Chinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Salta La Banca FC's zone, Marco Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Manex came out of the goal and Marco Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonel Oxarra hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Justino Sedeni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salta La Banca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justino Sedeni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Justino Sedeni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salta La Banca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Justino Sedeni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Gaspard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Justino Sedeni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Almagro's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Azeari came free, but Melquiades Gaspard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Rodrigo Azeari put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Melquiades Gaspard. In the 33rd match minute, Salta La Banca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Peio to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Manex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Gutxi in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Rodrigo Azeari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, one of Salta La Banca FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Salta La Banca FC. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Almagro's Severino Honrio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hugo Manex. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Justino Sedeni made the kick off in the second half. If Justino Sedeni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Almagro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Melquiades Gaspard, was totally fooled by Salta La Banca FC's Reynaldo Peli, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Hugo Manex stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Elazar's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Hugo Manex made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Elazar in the 66th minute of play. Marco Elazar struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Hugo Manex didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almagro. Rodrigo Azeari who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Gaspard when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Melquiades Gaspard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Azeari in the 74th minute. Hugo Manex didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anibal Gutxi went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Melquiades Gaspard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justino Sedeni in the 88th minute of the match. Almagro's Marco Elazar got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anibal Gutxi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Salta La Banca FC's zone, Marco Elazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Manex came out of the goal and Marco Elazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Gutxi in the 94th minute of play forced Salta La Banca FC's goalkeeper Hugo Manex to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anibal Gutxi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Manex read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
