When Prospero Leobardo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Boulogne City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Leobardo couldn't finish the play. Eloy Osorio came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Boulogne City's Gonzalo Abeijon. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Abeijon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hermengildo Jenaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Ariando, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Leonardo Bidari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Hermengildo Jenaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Prospero Leobardo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Boulogne City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Leobardo couldn't finish the play. In the 25th match minute, Boulogne City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Galoer to maneuver through the defense. When River Plate's Delmiro Ariando in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Boulogne City's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Eloy Osorio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Boulogne City's Prospero Leobardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eloy Osorio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Prospero Leobardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Osorio. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prospero Leobardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Abeijon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Bidari's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermengildo Jenaro was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Erasmo Galoer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gonzalo Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Montrel charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Montrel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonas Montrel hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Delmiro Ariando hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Gonzalo Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Boulogne City fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Boulogne City's Gonzalo Abeijon looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 82 minutes, Gonzalo Abeijon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boulogne City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Abeijon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Abeijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Eloy Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Felipe Faron hit a great ball. Felipe Faron was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River Plate! River Plate's Eloy Osorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Abeijon in the 101st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Boulogne City left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than River Plate.
