Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ignacio Guipuzkoa got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Enrique Veronica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate and the CA MATIENZO players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Veronica. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Pes during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Pes. Ignacio Guipuzkoa took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casimiro Kimetz. Casimiro Kimetz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Casimiro Kimetz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Guipuzkoa in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of CA MATIENZO booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Pes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, CA MATIENZO's Filiberto Teodor tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Angel Iago came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the CA MATIENZO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Iago couldn't finish the play. Angel Iago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Angel Iago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA MATIENZO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Iago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Angel Iago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angel Iago was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Leandro Benvide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA MATIENZO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Benvide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of CA MATIENZO booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Iago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Bermudo having to interfere. Leandro Benvide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Luciano Bermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Plate's Enrique Veronica got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Enrique Veronica off the ground. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Enrique Veronica got a free kick in the 65th minute. Angel Iago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Leandro Benvide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA MATIENZO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Benvide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Angel Iago notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of River Plate's Luciano Bermudo. Luciano Bermudo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Guipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. Angel Iago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Bermudo having to interfere. Ignacio Guipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Iago in the 81st minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Luciano Bermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Benvide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ignacio Guipuzkoa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. Ignacio Guipuzkoa hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Iago came free, but Luciano Bermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, CA MATIENZO's Leandro Benvide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Bermudo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.
