He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coni reached it. Ceferino Rioja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luciano Bermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ceferino Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Bermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Bermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Rioja in the 12th minute of the match. Ignacio Guipuzkoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gabriel Endira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Ceferino Rioja notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of River Plate's Luciano Bermudo. Luciano Bermudo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Coni's Gabriel Endira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Guipuzkoa in the 21st minute of play. Gabriel Endira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Guipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Guipuzkoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Endira having to make a save. With a little luck, River Plate's Luciano Bermudo got control of the ball when Ceferino Rioja tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute, Andres Ariando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate's goalkeeper Luciano Bermudo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ceferino Rioja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 76 minutes, Emanuel Osasun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coni and the River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, Ignacio Guipuzkoa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gabriel Endira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Ceferino Rioja made a precise shot to the right of Luciano Bermudo. River Plate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Coni's Emanuel Osasun got a free kick in the 87th minute. Ceferino Rioja came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luciano Bermudo could save by the left post. Coni's Cirilo Urdaspal got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The River Plate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Coni's performance. The match ended with a win for Coni.
