Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5390, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Candido Su got the match started through his kick off. Albino Leizarraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casimiro Kimetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Su in the 19th minute of the match. Leandro Benvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Matia having to interfere. Casimiro Kimetz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Marcones in the 33rd minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Deportivo Esquel's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Iago came free, but Nereo Matia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Iago in the 46th minute of play forced Deportivo Esquel's goalkeeper Nereo Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angel Iago was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in CA MATIENZO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Casimiro Kimetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Su in the 64th minute of the match. Leandro Benvide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nereo Matia having to make a save. If Leandro Benvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Deportivo Esquel got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Marcones. Nereo Matia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Albino Leizarraga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casimiro Kimetz having to make a save. Leandro Benvide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Nereo Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Iago in the 84th minute of play forced Deportivo Esquel's goalkeeper Nereo Matia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nereo Matia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Benvide in the 89th minute of the match. Nereo Matia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Iago in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Leandro Benvide managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA MATIENZO's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Benvide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nereo Matia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA MATIENZO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Esquel the free kick. In the 94th minute, Arnaldo Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deportivo Esquel had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
