An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Urdaspal in the 12th minute of play forced Bagual's goalkeeper Teddy Roche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Emanuel Osasun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bagual the free kick. Bernabe Bastia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Elpidio Aguirre put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gabriel Endira. Bernabe Bastia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Endira having to interfere. The supporters of Coni booed when Bagual was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Urtun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernabe Bastia in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Endira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Bernabe Bastia sped through Coni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gabriel Endira. In the 41st minute, Bagual's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ceferino Rioja fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Gabriel Endira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Bastia in the 53rd minute of play. Braulio Gorosti kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Inocencio Gipuzkoa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Emanuel Osasun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Endira made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Elpidio Aguirre sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernabe Bastia in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Endira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elpidio Aguirre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Gabriel Endira made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Coni's zone, Bernabe Bastia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Endira came out of the goal and Bernabe Bastia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute Bernabe Bastia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Endira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elpidio Aguirre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Endira having to make a save. Carolo Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Endira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Bastia in the 91st minute of the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bagual's goalkeeper Teddy Roche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Bagual supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bagual would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
