Bonifacio Teyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Perez in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind LOS MEJORES's goalkeeper Saverio Leocadio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Indar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Leocadio having to interfere. In the 29th minute Melchor Ponciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saverio Leocadio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Rodrigo Mendebal from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Saverio Leocadio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. ManoloFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Ponciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Edgard Perez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bonifacio Teyo. Edgard Perez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Melchor Ponciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saverio Leocadio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melchor Ponciano ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of ManoloFC booed when LOS MEJORES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Eron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saverio Leocadio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Indar, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Melchor Ponciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Saverio Leocadio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
