The supporters of Messirve F.C booed when Lamarque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Sotero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Messirve F.C's Filomeno Izel got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Errolan in the 20th minute of play forced Messirve F.C's goalkeeper Americo Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Lamarque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Egoitz to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Francisco Flores showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Alberto Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleto Laffitte to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Alberto Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Messirve F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Errolan to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Viator, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filomeno Izel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Francisco Flores. Lamarque's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alberto Viator's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Flores was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Laffitte couldn't finish the play. Americo Gaskon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Ezkerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Cleto Laffitte put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Francisco Flores. Messirve F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
