The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Leizarraga was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Carteros FC's zone, Florencio Rozarius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Cedro came out of the goal and Florencio Rozarius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesar Leizarraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Cedro having to interfere. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Teo Oton hit a great ball. Fabio Vito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicanor Shantala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. When %teams%'s Cesar Leizarraga was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-3 just inside the left pole, 62 minutes into the game. Lucio Cedro was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 67 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Frances came free, but Nicanor Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cesar Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicanor Shantala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabio Vito's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. River Plate's Nicanor Shantala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Frances in the 76th minute of play. If Florencio Rozarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Teo Oton. Nicanor Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicanor Shantala didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Vito went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. When the match was over River Plate could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carteros FC throughout the match.
