After a defensive mix-up in River Plate's zone, Rogelio Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicanor Shantala came out of the goal and Rogelio Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Efrain Erdiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteban Bortzaioriz charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Bortzaioriz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in River Plate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Rogelio Aballe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Nicanor Shantala when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Rogelio Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Vincent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Toribio having to interfere. SMK-C.A.I's Anastasio Toribio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Rozarius in the 43rd minute of play. Florencio Rozarius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Anastasio Toribio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Esteban Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 47th minute. Efrain Erdiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SMK-C.A.I! Maximino Basualdo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ruperto Cloyo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anastasio Toribio. SMK-C.A.I's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Efrain Erdiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Shantala having to interfere. In the 77thth minute of the game Rogelio Aballe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Plate's Nicanor Shantala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89thth minute of the game Florencio Rozarius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SMK-C.A.I's Anastasio Toribio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jonatan Vincent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When River Plate's Florencio Rozarius in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SMK-C.A.I's goalie prevented a goal. Nicanor Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Erdiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
