Raul Pabla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Genaro Mambru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Mambru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Montrel in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes Acuña got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Piarres. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fidel Navarro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Piarres might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Ostargi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Piarres ran back to his position shaking his head. Cayetano Montrel struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Genaro Mambru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Strokes FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Navarro in the 68th minute of play forced Acuña's goalkeeper Genaro Mambru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Piarres in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal.
