Victorino Naelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseo Calisto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Victorino Naelio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Eliseo Calisto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Abadie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Jobo in the 68th minute of play. Jairo Seme hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Santos Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Astudillo having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Serafin Jobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Naelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Calisto having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Santos Rios had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomero Astudillo. Deportivo Ceco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santos Rios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
