In the 18th minute, Clorinda's Americo Sandalio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adan Aznar. Adan Aznar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Americo Sandalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Sandalio in the 31st minute of play forced Arbolito FC's goalkeeper Adan Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Suarez might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adan Aznar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rigoberto Suarez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute Rigoberto Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Aznar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Americo Sandalio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arbolito FC's Adan Aznar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Rigoberto Suarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arbolito FC's Apolo Romildo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Clorinda's Gogo Odol got a free kick in the 90th minute. Apolo Romildo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvestre Goito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Arbolito FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
