In the 24th minute, Ermegildo Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Abechuco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Alfonso Bikendi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ermegildo Abechuco came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfonso Bikendi slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Modesto Marz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ermegildo Abechuco made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Ermegildo Bertol sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, La Naranja Mecánica RC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Abechuco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermegildo Bertol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Chan in the 42nd minute of play forced La Naranja Mecánica RC's goalkeeper Ermegildo Abechuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Bertol got free with Ermegildo Abechuco in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of La Naranja Mecánica RC booed when Lonquimay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severo Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Bikendi made a kick off. In the 64th minute, Ermegildo Bertol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermegildo Abechuco was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 71 played minutes La Naranja Mecánica RC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Abad. Ermegildo Abechuco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Montay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modesto Marz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Faustino Emenon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Epifanio Javiero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ermegildo Abechuco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Modesto Marz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Emenon having to interfere. 6-0 came in the 96th minute when Epifanio Javiero all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Ermegildo Abechuco. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lonquimay fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Naranja Mecánica RC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
