An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Tino in the 41st minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Narciso Millrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Silvano Idacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Idacio came free, but Narciso Millrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half La Academia Rivadaviense were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nicolas Pirro ran back to his position shaking his head. 92 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Tino came free, but Narciso Millrick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The River Plate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching La Academia Rivadaviense's performance. The match ended with a win for La Academia Rivadaviense.
