The referee ignored Independiente Rivadavia's protests and gave Nereo Nafarroa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, Independiente Rivadavia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Nafarroa to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Gonza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Jimeno Dunixi made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Aaron Gonza notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Independiente Rivadavia's Jimeno Dunixi. Jimeno Dunixi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Guzzi booed when Independiente Rivadavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Urbasa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Joachim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Paul having to interfere. Pedro Joachim struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Bruno Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente Rivadavia. 46 minutes into the game, Guzzi's Aaron Gonza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimeno Dunixi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Domingo Medina to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Independiente Rivadavia's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Gonza came free, but Jimeno Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Pedro Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente Rivadavia's Jimeno Dunixi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Gonza in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Domingo Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Dunixi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independiente Rivadavia's Pedro Joachim quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Florentino Magdaleno, made in the 78th minute of the game. Romeo Haitz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Aaron Gonza had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Urbasa during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Independiente Rivadavia! Independiente Rivadavia's attentive Romeo Haitz managed to snatch the ball when Florentino Magdaleno made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. When Pedro Joachim came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Independiente Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Joachim couldn't finish the play. Jimeno Dunixi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Medina in the 97th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Guzzi were victorious despite being under pressure from Independiente Rivadavia for much of the match.
