The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Independiente Rivadavia booed when Deportivo Liniers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Jaen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Paul got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nereo Nafarroa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Romeo Haitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Jayvier having to interfere. Jimeno Dunixi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Austin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Austin struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Jimeno Dunixi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Liniers. Eriberto Austin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Dunixi having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Pedro Joachim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente Rivadavia and the Deportivo Liniers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Pedro Joachim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto Austin made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Eriberto Austin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimeno Dunixi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jimeno Dunixi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Austin in the 70th minute. Jimeno Dunixi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Joachim kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Haitz during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Romeo Haitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eriberto Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jimeno Dunixi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Deportivo Liniers's Jesus Guib nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimeno Dunixi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Independiente Rivadavia's Jimeno Dunixi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Independiente Rivadavia from getting a goal against them. Eriberto Austin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jimeno Dunixi made a huge save. When the final whistle went the supporters of Deportivo Liniers were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Independiente Rivadavia side.
