After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Marcial Evangelista made the kick off in the second half. Genaro Gonsalvo succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The supporters of Esmeralda booed when Insomnio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herminio Derwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esmeralda's Amancio Veremundo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Insomnio's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Goiz came free, but Aurelio Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Goren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Veremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes Esmeralda got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Raulo. With an all-out effort, Insomnio's Tomás Orzaize threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Herminio Derwin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Insomnio played a much better game than Esmeralda and deserved their victory. The Esmeralda players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
