The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Honorio Etxatxu's late challenge caught a Labs FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. PECHOS FRÍOS's Basilio Isaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Suero in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PECHOS FRÍOS's Niceto Iratzeder got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in PECHOS FRÍOS's zone, Nicolas Jago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Isaio came out of the goal and Nicolas Jago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Labs FC booed when PECHOS FRÍOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Urdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Labs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Jago to maneuver through the defense. Aquiles Paez hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venancio Colon during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Virgilio Matei took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Loren. Sergio Loren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Sergio Loren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Matei in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of PECHOS FRÍOS booed when Labs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Jago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Amador Orlanda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aquiles Paez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Aquiles Paez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Isaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Jago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Isaio having to interfere.
