In the 20th minute Baldomero Sayvion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 毛云笑 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Victorino Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Urbano Leocadio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sp. Canario's Amador Gora. After the first half Hurlingham FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomero Sayvion to make the kick off. Sp. Canario's Amador Gora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Aires in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Urbano Leocadio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hurlingham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urbano Leocadio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Octavio Niguel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 59 in the game by Urbano Leocadio from a close distance when the talented Amador Gora managed to make a qualified save. Sp. Canario's players were relieved. The supporters of Sp. Canario booed when Hurlingham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Leocadio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amador Gora, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Sp. Canario's Valentin Bernad got a free kick in the 69th minute. After having played for 70 minutes, Victorino Castel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hurlingham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Castel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valentin Bernad hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sp. Canario getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bonifacio Manex hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Octavio Niguel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Bernad charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Bernad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Sp. Canario got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Bernad. Hurlingham FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
