Spectators: 7293 (Terracing: 5472, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Escuela Tortuga's goalkeeper Emanuel Urbez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erasmo Frutos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Giro having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Santos Etxekopar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 played minutes Club Atletico River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Americo Garoa. After having played for 13 minutes, Leonel Nel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escuela Tortuga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonel Nel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celestino Quinteros in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Urbez saved Escuela Tortuga from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Teo Bertin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escuela Tortuga the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Teo Bertin got a free kick in the 37th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Escuela Tortuga's Baltasar Belo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godofredo Giro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celestino Quinteros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Urbez having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erasmo Frutos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Emiliano Gonzales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Escuela Tortuga's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Celestino Quinteros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Santos Etxekopar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Escuela Tortuga's Emanuel Urbez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Escuela Tortuga from getting a goal against them. Emanuel Urbez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Etxekopar in the 72nd minute of play. Emanuel Urbez made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Celestino Quinteros sent off a good shot on target. Emanuel Urbez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Santos Etxekopar's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Celestino Quinteros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Emanuel Urbez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Santos Etxekopar struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Emanuel Urbez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico River Plate. 86 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's Celestino Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Urbez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Cristo Aragones fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escuela Tortuga's protests and gave Cristo Aragones a yellow card for diving instead. Cristo Aragones kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Emanuel Urbez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Americo Garoa. With his leg Emanuel Urbez managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Club Atletico River Plate's Teo Bertin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 96 minutes into the match, Escuela Tortuga's goalkeeper Emanuel Urbez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesar Ramond. Escuela Tortuga succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Club Atletico River Plate had controlled the match.
