Ceferino Quilino hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Ceferino Quilino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caleufú AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Trueno Verde the free kick. Ceferino Quilino hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Marques got free with Arnulfo Urki in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caleufú AFC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after El Trueno Verde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carmelo Olayo took the corner. Caleufú AFC's Carmelo Olayo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maximiliano Primeiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Valentin Mero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Primeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Ostargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Elia made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Caleufú AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Oxel to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cornelio Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnulfo Urki was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The El Trueno Verde fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when El Trueno Verde's Virgilio Elia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, El Trueno Verde's Adrian Ixona got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Caleufú AFC's Artemio Ostargi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. Melchor Sandalio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Urki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Caleufú AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Trueno Verde.
