The supporters of Cuatreros FC booed when Douglas Haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Monico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filomeno Lain charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filomeno Lain the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Cuatreros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Lain to maneuver through the defense. Constantino Phelipe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Haroldo Monico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Douglas Haig's Joel Fertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Lain in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Haroldo Monico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenio Chale kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Douglas Haig's Joel Fertus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Lain in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Cuatreros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Manilan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Fertus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuatreros FC. 72 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's Constantino Phelipe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sixto Sansone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Constantino Phelipe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sixto Sansone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Fertus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filomeno Lain went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Haroldo Monico hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Joel Fertus made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Filomeno Lain sent off a good shot on target. 84 minutes into the match, Cuatreros FC's Marcelino Manilan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Fertus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute Marcelino Manilan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Fertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Constantino Phelipe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Douglas Haig's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Phelipe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cuatreros FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
